We have a new name
After a couple of years work by Neil Cullimore, Beegee Williams, Alan Montgomery, Mike Donovan and Bernie Allen, we held our Extraordinary General Meeting on Wednesday May 11 and the new rules were adopted.
There are a number of tidy-up type rules that have been addressed but as from now we are known as the NEW ZEALAND BARBARIAN RUGBY CLUB Inc.
We have the same purpose – just a different name – and it enables the club to formalise its relationship with The Barbarian Football Club Ltd. in the UK.
Thanks from NZ Rugby Foundation
When you paid your subs we included an opportunity for members to make a donation to the club for its memorabilia restoration project and also to the NZ Rugby Foundation.
Thanks to your generosity, we now have over $5000 to spend on restoring our displays (we have spent $2000 already on sorting out the old red book of various cuttings which is back on display) and we have this week paid $5190 to the Rugby Foundation.
All donors will be sent an individual acknowledgement but Lisa Kingi-Bon at the foundation sent a thank you email:
Greetings
Acknowledged with grateful thanks, such humbling generosity.
Kind regards
Lisa
